Hello! My name is Hailey, I am the director at Contented Critters here in Ely, MN. My career with animals started at the Ely Vet Clinic, I have worked there for almost 7 years and still am. There is no way I would be able to have done this without the support of the Ely Vets. I find myself incredibly lucky to have learned from the best. I absolutely love saving critters. Any ANIMAL, big or small, I am always willing to give any critter a fighting chance. My passion for animals goes beyond saving them, I LOVE sharing the happiness they bring, My favorite is visiting the lovely residents at Carefree in Ely. 

Hi! I'm Mandi and I have been working with Contented Critters since December of 2025. I have 11+ years of experience working with canines: dog daycare, pet grooming, sled dog care, kennel attending at the Ely Vet Clinic, and even a little bit of wolf care sprinkled in.  Working at CC has given me experience working with cats, too, which might be my new favorite thing!

I moved to Ely in 2018 after leaving my dog daycare/grooming career back in my hometown in Oregon. I was seeking new experiences and found myself at the local community college studying Natural Resources. A curveball thew me towards studying Psychology and Disability Studies, but in the end, despite a couple college degrees under my belt, it wasn't the path for me. Sometimes life has a way of leading you back to the things you love most, and I couldn't be happier that this version is one where I can make a real difference for animals in need.
