Contented Critters Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit (EIN: 41-1835418, License: MN140872) located in Ely, Minnesota. Contented Critters is not a Walk-In Facility, we are by appointment only, Contented Critters has an application process as we believe it helps get pets in a right fit home, everyone must apply online if interested in meeting an animal.
The mission of Contented Critters is to advocate for the underdogs and help animals in need through rescue, rehabilitation, appropriate veterinary care, and adoption.
Our vision is to reduce the community need for pet rescue through preemptive measures, such as a spay and neuter program for pets in our care, and community outreach and education.
A majority of our animals that come to us is cats and dogs, however we do not discriminate. Contented Critters is open to helping ANY type of animal. We have 14 dog kennels and 16 Cat Kennels in our newly renovated building, dogs and cats are Fully Vetted & Fixed then posted for adoption. Contented Critters also has a Farm Sanctuary portion, these animals may have a health issues. hospice, or considered underdogs. They live out their days full of love and top-notch care. We have a steer named Louie, he came to us with a neurological disorder, Eleanor the pig, she is almost 600 POUNDS and more! We LOVE saving Critters and helping in any way we can. We also love sharing our animals with the community and sharing the joy they bring us!
